Brudenell River

Brudenell River

Brudenell River Golf Course was one of PEIs first public golf courses, built by the government back in the early 1960s as a 9-hole course. A few years later, the course was expanded to 18 holes in a move to increase tourism to the area, with the larger course officially opening in 1969. For many years the golf course was one of the most popular in the whole province. And it now sits alongside sister course Dundarave as part of the Brudenell River Resort, with a total of 36-holes to play. The course threads its way along the Brudenell River, offering picturesque views of the well-manicured gardens, ponds and lakes.

The golf course has received many recognitions over the years, including high star ratings from Golf Digest and ranking high on SCOREGolfs top golf resorts in Canada. The course features 6 par 3 holes, 6 par 4 holes and 6 par 5 holes. And the snack bar has been perfectly located, so you pass it three times in one round, so you’ll have lots of opportunities to grab a drink or snack. There is also a driving range and putting greens to practice and sharpen your skills.

The course has hosted many tournaments and professional Canadian tour events and attracts many golfers from both out of province and abroad to stay and play at the resort. Beyond the golfing, you can enjoy watersports, horseback riding and the spas at the main resort, along with one of the three onsite restaurants and bars.
