Located in Wallace, Nova Scotia, you’ll find the iconic Fox Harb’r Resort. Set on the beautiful Northumberland Shore, Fox Harb’r Resort is the only five-star resort in Nova Scotia, offering way more than just a quality golf experience. The resort itself was opened by the co-founder of Tim Hortons, Ron Joyce, back in 2000, and he recruited legendary golf architect Graham Cooke to design the golf course. The 18-hole par 72 championship design stretches over 7205 yards, with the front nine featuring tree-lined holes and ponds and the back nine along the Northumberland Straight. The inland holes are parkland style, with links-style shoreline holes. The views throughout the course are unrivalled, and all the holes are immaculately maintained. But beware of the winds coming off the water, which can provide an added challenge.
Fox Harb’r is a public resort with a private club feel. There are nearly 100 luxury suites, multiple fine dining restaurants, outdoor activities like kayaking, fishing, and skeet shooting, and an on-site spa. It also has a 9-hole, par 3 course for less experienced players to sharpen their short game. The resort has attracted many golf legends and celebrities over the years, including Tiger Woods, Bill Clinton and Hank Haney.
