Manitou Ridge

Manitou Ridge

Manitou Ridge is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course in McKellar, Ontario on Lake Manitouwabing. This Thomas McBroom design has been continuously ranked in Canada’s top 100, and recently was awarded 57th best course by SCOREGolf. The Manitou Ridge is renowned for its natural beauty, with holes that meander through the stunning Muskoka landscape. It’s routed up and back, which takes golfers across beautiful rocky outcrops, departing from the clubhouse and Manitouwabing Lake before heading back home after the turn. The property, which extends over 300 acres of forest and meadowland, is located on the east shore of Lake Huron, close to Parry Sound.

The course also features five excellent par three holes, some requiring precision shots to raised greens while others demand heavy-hitting shots over wetland areas. All of them, except one, measure more than 200 yards from the tips, and the entire course measures 6815 yards from the back tees. Standard with Thomas McBroom's designs, you can expect lots of risk/reward decisions throughout the course, but this also makes the gameplay accessible for all skill levels.

The clubhouse at Manitou Ridge is one of kind, and has lakefront access, so you can arrive by boat or even float plane if you choose. It sits right on the shores of Lake Manitouwabing and has a large dining room, porch and patio where you can enjoy food overlooking the lake. And the food is so good, many locals come to enjoy it even if they aren’t playing golf.
