The Lake Joseph Club

The Lake Joseph Club

Located in Port Carling, in the Township of Muskoka Lakes, The Lake Joseph Club captures the essence of the Muskoka Region. The golf club opened in 1997 and was designed by Thomas McBroom, one of the most notable golf architects in Canada. Upon opening, it was ranked the best new course in Canada by Golf Digest and has since been rated multiple times in the top 50 golf courses in the country by SCOREGolf. The 18-hole, par 72 course is tree-lined, with a parkland design across an undulating landscape. It offers beautiful views of Lake Joseph and features many granite outcroppings that are iconically Muskokan. The Lake Joseph Club is a ClubLink resort, meaning that it’s a private course, but non-members can still gain access when booking a stay-and-play golf package, such as those offered through Best Golf Trips.

There is also a 9-hole academy and a pro shop selling equipment and apparel. Their on-site restaurant and clubhouse, The Bistro, looks out over the last hole of the course and serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual, cottage-style setting with an outdoor patio. And they also have a halfway house that’s open on the weekends that sells burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches and drinks out on the course.
