Day 2
A parkland oasis that feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Montreal, Islemere’s has a truly incredible history. The original 18 of its 27 holes were designed by Willie Park Jr, one of the game’s most revered architects, while renowned Quebec course architect Howard Watson later added the other nine holes.
These historic designs have aged like fine wine and are still a great test of golf today. The course recently underwent an extensive bunker renovation to keep up with today’s game, and has some of the best bunkering in Quebec as a result. Strategy is key on this parkland gem. A bit shorter from todays standards (but no slouch), Islemere plays over 6500 yards from the tips, and is known as a tree-lined, tighter course where shot-making and strategy is at a premium.
The Bleu et Blanc nines originally constructed by Willie Park Jr played host to the Canadian open in 1959, and the Canadian Women’s Open in 1987.
Day 3
Designed by internationally acclaimed Pat Ruddy, this parkland course is visually stunning with thoughtful challenges that will test your game in the best way. A par 70, 6,407 yards from the tips, the signature hole #8, where the course gets its namesake from, is a par 5 that finishes on an Island green. If someone in your group is able to score an eagle on this hole, tradition states that each golfer in the group gets them a bevvy on the trip.
