Built in 1949, this golf course has aged gracefully, providing a great challenge for today’s golfers while giving off a true nostalgia vibe. Beyond the Contour recently ranked the course as #99 in Canada in 2023, and more recently, was named the #62 Public Course in Canada by SCOREGolf (2025)
  2. Lachute Golf Club – Howard Watson 18: the second 18 hole golf course at Lachute, designed by renowned Quebec architect Howard Watson (a protégé of Stanley Thompson), is equally impressive. Howard Watson has a long resume of courses designed across the globe, but Lachute might be one of his best. With no two holes alike, the course features elevation changes, water hazards, deep bunkers and tree-lined fairways. Stretching to nearly 7000 yards, it remains a great challenge for any golfer still today.
  3. Golf Griffon des Sources: this track is spectacular, and is Quebec’s hidden gem. A championship course that measures over 7,500 yards from the back tees (don’t worry, 4 sets of tees lets you try this course from 6800, 6200 or 5400 yards), it is one of the longest courses in Canada, and also one of the most unheralded.
